When you read a certain book, you start to see the signs everywhere. Recently, I see the word “Root.” I hear it also. These signs often make me reflect on what I have done and how I get where I am at the present moment.
You often hear when you are uncertain, go back to where you came from. Unfortunately, physically revisiting my birth place is extremely difficult, but mentally, I’m always there. This is something that I forget.
Whether you are forced to or voluntarily leave the birth place , that doesn't mean you loose your perspective: root. Contrary to me, it strengthens me to member who I am and where I come from. All the experiences and knowledge shaped me who I am today, including the choices.
Instead of revisiting the root, I have built a vessel with everything I know, carry my family with it, and keep on sailing to the vast world of the unexpected and unknown. When a disastrous storm hits, I maneuver to get out of it, or sometimes just float till it passses.
I am not sure if I will ever anchor to a place, but I will always carry the root with me.
