Ep9:Legend pub in Brisbane; waterloo hotel

Today, I want to share how great the waterloo hotel is.

Before I dropped my resume off in waterloo, I hesitated to do that, because it looked like so gorgeous and luxurious hotel.

(At that time, I thought that was an accommodation, Aussie pubs is named “hotel” to pub historically. Please check the reason out.)

But I’m very happy to work there.
I got good customers, managers, colleagues, everyone was amazing.

In Japan, hospitality jobs are a little harsh.
The managers are under big pressure, and they don't have day-off,
so, they can’t help us, and the vibe always sucks.

On the other hand, the waterloo hotel was stunning.

When I ask for help, the managers always helped me, the tasks were clear and easy to understand.

And I thought getting a job in this pub was a miracle. And I appreciated everything in that place, so I always contributed to the hotel, taking empty glasses, plates, looking at the kitchen and if I needed, I helped to carry food, wiping tables.

I worked hard and enjoyed everything. It was very fast to spend time in waterloo, because I didn’t feel I’m working.

I was part of the family there and I seemed like I did what I have to do.

It was a very mysterious feeling, I had.

What is important is knowing this world has like that place.

If I conflict with a difficult situation, I can remember that moment and I could make myself gear up.

The waterloo hotel had great positive vibes and mysterious power. I can’t forget it.

For example, the chefs made a mistake and that was serious, if it were in Japan, it would get furious moment and become angry.

However, they changed it into a joke and laughed. I was moved by this atmosphere.

Japanese one doesn’t have like this moment.

Although it might be similar, the moment in waterloo was so natural.

They didn’t try to make that moment. That seemed like obvious.

When I worked in the pub, the Malborne cap and AFL final were unforgettable moments.

People might make this holiday to drink and relax though, many people came to our pub and had fun.

That was Australia.

Anyway, that was a special and legend moment in my life.
