I looked at the photos I took today, reflected on them, and compiled a list of photos for myself in the future. I selected photos that I thought could be improved and photos that I thought went well and added some words. I chose the photos I thought I did well and added some words to them.
oblique light Composition Sky Proportion Portrait No flash I thought to myself, "This is it," and pressed the shutter. I took 5 pictures. I decided to take as few as possible. I think this is one shot where I was able to make use of what I was taught. I would like to take more shots like this in my own work.
I was conscious of low angles and verticals. It was interesting to see the goats running free. I thought about how to make the photo more interesting and impactful. I thought that taking a horizontal shot would create a gentle image with the surrounding greenery, so I decided to take a vertical low angle shot to create more impact. I added grass in the foreground and waited for the bird to eat the grass in front of me. I slowed down the shutter speed to increase the intensity of the image, but now I think it would have had more impact if I had taken a better shot. I thought I lacked the ability to think more in the moment.
I made it horizontal, thinking that the vertical and brightness were wrong and that there was no vertical to photograph a house. But the amount of sky increased and looking at the photo, I wondered why I didn't take action. I did it again after being told to do so. I changed the orientation and the coloring and stopped noticing the others. So I'll take this one again because I have another one tomorrow. I think I'll bring it lower and take it farther back. I personally like the color tones, so I'd like to keep it that way. So I'm going to try to take a picture around noon. I thought it might be beautiful in the morning. I'll try to take pictures of both, since there will be opportunities to take pictures of both.
