かつらお企画室 2022 アーカイブ：ニット工場で使われなくなった糸を使ってタッセルを作ろう！

葛尾村に工場を持つ金泉ニット株式会社に協力を依頼して実施。講師の大内はニット生産時に出る残糸に着目し、糸の素材や残糸の活用方法などのリサーチを行いました。ワークショップでは、工場で残ってしまった糸そのものを主役に「タッセル」 作りをしました。参加者は高品質で多様な糸に触れることを通して、素材そのもの良さ、面白さを味わいながら「タッセル」作りに集中していました。参加者は出来上がったタッセルをアクセサリーにしたり、カーテン留めにしたりと思い思いの形に仕上げていました。

Let's Use Unused Yarn From the Knit Factory and Make Tassels!

This workshop was realised with the cooperation of Kinsen Knit Co., which has a factory in Katsurao. Ouchi, the workshop leader, became interested in the yarn that went leftover in the process of producing knit goods. She investigated ways to make use of yarn in general and these leftovers. In the workshop, this leftover yarn from the factory was given centre stage as it was used to make tassels. The participants got to handle a wide variety of high quality yarn and as they worked on their tassels they came to enjoy and appreciate the material. From accessories to curtain ties, each participant put their own spin on their tassel.
