コサト・ド・ノクターヌス：憂愁のバンパイア。

コサト・ド・ノクターヌス：（窓辺で独り言）ああ、明るい日の光を見なくなって何日たったのだろうか…。あのあと…わが身に起こった出来事に当惑して、ここに身を隠してしまったのだが。
夕暮れ時のにじんだ光は、よいものだな…
おや、訪問者か？
サラ・カオルン：（歩きながら独り言）ここが、あのコサト・ド・ノクターヌスの隠れ家なのかしら。他の記者たちはまだ気づいてないみたいね。私は、独占インタビューを取ってやる！そう、数日前に突然姿を消したロックシンガー、熱狂的ファンから「闇の支配者」とも言われているノクターヌスの真実…。
なんの発表もされていないけれども、私の感が当たっていたら…。
サラ：（ノックの音）こんばんは！サラ・カオルンです。以前にもインタビューさせていただきました、サラです。コサト・ド・ノクターヌスさん、こちらにおいでですよね。コサトさん！
コサト：（独り言。溜息の後に）見つかってしまったか…。しかし、あいつが来るとはなあ。やっかいだ。
サラ：コサトさん！（ドアがあく）あら！
コサト：あなたでしたか、やはり。
サラ：あなたが突然姿を消した理由を、世界は知りたいのよ。そして私も知りたい。インタビューさせてください！
コサト：突然に押しかけてきて、それですか…。
形而上学的な理由ですよ。ある日突然、世界が逆転してしまって、夢がまこととなり、闇が私を埋め尽くしてしまった。
サラ：あの…
コサト：ああ、（慇懃に）いたしかたない。どうぞこちらに。

サラ：申し訳ありませんわ。でも本当にありがとうございます！ノクターヌスの音には私、仕事抜きで惚れこんでおりますの。
では…えっと、収録モードにして…。
はい、では本日はあの有名なロックシンガー、コサト・ド・ノクターヌスさんの独占インタビューをさせていただいております。ノクターヌスさん、あなたは――
コサト：（テーブルをたたいて）No！ そんな風に始めるものではない。
サラ：そう…ですね。では…。コサトさん、あなたが舞台をなげうつほどのことが、起こったのですね。少しやつれているように見えますが、でもそれだけではない。あなたの瞳に宿る光、以前とは決定的に違う。
コサト：私の瞳に何が見えるというのだ。私は、もはや…。あの世界には戻っていけないのだ！
サラ：もしかして…？
コサト：そう、以前唄っていたように、ついに、闇が、永遠の闇が、私の友となったのだよ。人、ではなく…
サラ：それは、あなたが、闇の眷属になったということかしら？
コサト：えっ、なぜそれを知っている？
サラ：ここ数日、耳を澄ませていると、聞こえてくるのですよ。このかいわいで、あちらでひとつ、こちらでひとつ。か細い悲鳴と、そしてそれに続く愉悦の声…。何かが起こりつつある。そしてあなたの失踪。
コサト: ああ、お察しの通りだ、私はもはや…人ではない。これからゆく道は、闇と、そして孤独に満ちたものになるであろう。
サラ：何故悲観するのです？あなたは今やあなたの唄をそのままに、生きているのに。

そうか、そうなのか…。ではおまえを、初の我が眷属となそう。

サラ：はい、わたくし、サラ・カオルンは、その血を最後の一滴に至るまで、あなたに捧げます。

コサト:（嘆息。気を取り直して）血と霊により、ここに、闇の眷属の秘跡(ひせき)の成就を宣言する。
我らが始祖シオンの恩寵と、バンパイアの栄光が、我らとともに、今も、そして永遠にあらんことを。
コサト：さあ、しばし休むがよい…
