I was born in the '70s, and I have some idea of what Japan used to be like, but when I read the book, I felt like I had traveled back in time and was walking around Shinjuku. And that is what happens when a person who has never walked in that place paints it in a joyful way.

Je suis né dans les années 70 et j'ai une certaine idée de ce qu'était le Japon, mais lorsque j'ai lu le livre, j'ai eu l'impression de voyager dans le temps et de me promener dans Shinjuku. C'est ce qui arrive lorsqu'une personne qui n'a jamais marché dans cet endroit le peint de manière joyeuse.

かつての日本はこんな風だったのかなというのは70年代生まれの私にはなんとなく分かるのだが、本を読み進めるうちに、まるで自分がそこにタイムスリップしたかのような感覚になり、新宿を歩いているよう。そして、その空間を歩いたことのない人間が愉しく描くとこうなった。
