The Tokyo Olympic Games may overwhelm hospitals around the world

I deeply appreciate the dedication of nurses around the world who have been putting their lives on the line to save patients’ lives in the disastrous pandemic. Like many others, I as an ordinary Japanese have been imposing some strict behavioral transformation on my daily life to express my solidarity with them.

Very sadly, under this ongoing critical global situation, the corrupted greedy stupid including International Olympic Committee, the Japanese Olympic Committee, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics organizing committee, its company concerned, and politicians are still adhering to holding the Olympic Games this summer for their own interests, completely NOT caring about healthcare workers on the front line.

Now is the time for us seriously to strengthen our solidarity with devoted healthcare workers including nurses and work together to contain COVID-19.
