Learning language is a long journey

I was advised that it’s better to think about something and to keep a diary only in English, not to translate it from Japanese to English. Yes, it’s definitely true. To think about what to say in English only using English mind, not Japanese one is necessary for advanced learners.
Sentence construction is completely different between Japanese and English. It might be a waste of time to translate to native language. Of course, it is no doubt that translating learning method is one of the effective ways for beginners or intermediate level learners.
