虫にもやっぱり意味がある〜my sweet mallow〜

わたしの　マロウちゃん。
My sweet mallow.

米粒よりもちいさな
コモンマロウの種をまいたのは去年。
It was last spring that I sowed a tiny seed of common mallows.

可愛い新芽は、元気に芽吹いたけれど、🌱
葉っぱは次々、たくさんの虫たちに食べられた。
Welcomed a lovely sprout soon but
New leaves were always attacked by insects.

マロウはいつもぼろぼろの姿、、、
それでも茎だけは　着実に太くなった。
Your leaves always looked terrible throughout the year.... however
Your stem has constantly grown thick.

そして、この春！
This spring,

一気に　ぐんと大きく伸びた！
豊かな葉っぱたちは
もうほとんど虫に食べられない。
You’ve grown so powerfully!
Your fluffy leaves do not draw leaf-eaters anymore.

葉っぱをかじる　虫たちは
いつの間にか　マロウから去った。
They have already gone from you.

たくましく風にそよぐ　マロウを見て
やっぱり強く　想うことは、
Gracefully enjoying today’s wind,
You have taught me

虫にもそれぞれ　使命があるということ。
食べられることにも　深遠な意味がある。
That all insects have their own mission
And being eaten has its profound meaning.

２年をかけて、ちいさな蕾をつけ始めたマロウちゃん。
I saw a small bud of you today.

お花がすごく楽しみね。
Such a delight sight of you.

コモンマロウ。
すべての病をなだめる花。
Common mallow.
The flowers that appease all kinds of diseases.
