Assessing Radiologists Needs on Accurate Diagnoses of Neuro-Degenerative Diseases

Radiologists face challenges in accurately diagnosing Alzheimer's disease and differentiating it from other forms of dementia, leading to misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis. This is due to difficulty in identifying correct biomarkers, and complex interpretations. In addition to hampering patient well-being, this also affects market demand for Alzheimer's drugs, trial participation, and overall drug development. Jasper Colin reached out to 132 radiologists across US states to understand the difficulties they face in correctly recognizing biomarkers for Alzheimer's and differentiating it from other forms of dementia.
