「カイバル、カイバル、おおユダヤ人どもよ、ムハンマドの軍隊が戻ってくるぞ」

たぶん最近だとは思うのだけれども、正確にどこでいつ撮影されたのか分からないパレスチナ支持デモの動画。

一見普通の平和的なデモに見えるけど、違うのは、この動画の１分１８秒くらいから、
"Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, jaish Muhammad soufa ya'oud."
「カイバル、カイバル、おおユダヤ人どもよ、ムハンマドの軍隊が戻ってくるぞ」
と群衆が叫んでいるところ。

これは、６２８年のカイバルの戦いで、当時のアラビア半島のカイバルに住むユダヤ人部族をムハンマドとその軍勢が襲って大量虐殺した、イスラーム史上の出来事に由来します。

これは要するに、カイバルでムハンマドがやったようにユダヤ人どもを虐殺しろというメッセージが込められた一種のヘイトスピーチです。

これ言う奴、間違いなくジハーディストかそのシンパなので、
もしパレスチナ支持デモの近くでこれが聞こえたら、すぐに逃げましょう。
近くにいて、いいことは何もありません。

"Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud" is the first verse of an antisemitic chant which references a battle fought in 628 CE in the Khaybar Oasis, in the Hejaz province of modern-day Saudi Arabia. During this battle, the army of the Prophet Muhammad is believed to have accused the Jews living in Khaybar of conspiring with other Jewish tribes and using the accusation as an excuse to massacre the Jewish population there. The full verse is: "Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, jaish Muhammad soufa ya'oud." It translates to "Khaybar Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return."
