
ルール5ドラフトの候補者リスト
どうもこんばんは。
今回は日本時間12日に実施予定のルール5ドラフトの候補者についてです。
専門サイトの特集やスタッツを参考に、野手10名、投手15名をリストアップしてみました。
さらに、指名される確率は低いと思われますが、ダブルA以上でプレーした経験のない選手(いわゆるAボールの選手)の中から、野手・投手3名ずつを追加で選んでいます。
直前となってしまったので詳細は省きますが、ざっくりご覧いただければと思います。
野手の候補
例年の傾向ではありますが、野手は目玉選手が乏しいです。
特にセンターラインを守れる有力なプロスペクトは大半が40名ロースターに入れられて保護されますから、ルール5の市場には出てきません。
また、控えレベルの野手であれば、安価なFA選手とマイナー契約すれば済むので、貴重な40名ロースターの枠を割いてまで指名しようとはなりにくいのが現実です。
そのため野手の場合は、打力のある1Bタイプか、コンタクトが優秀で複数のポジションを守れるユーティリティタイプ(スピードを兼ね備えていれば、なお良し)、あるいはマイナーでの経験が浅いもののひょっとしたら化けるかも知れない⋯という素材型が候補になり得るでしょう。
それでもOPSが極端に低い選手(OPSが.700台前半の選手)や、コンタクトに難がある選手(K%が高すぎる選手)は指名されないと思われます。
以上の条件を満たした選手が次の表に掲げる13名です。
(ただし、Echedry Vargas については本日MIAへのトレードが成立しましたので、候補から外れます)

投手の候補
野手とは対照的に好素材が目白押しなのが投手です。
投手はリリーフとして登板機会が得やすく、故障も多いので、常に需要が高いポジションです。
さらに、FAやトレード市場では投手の価格が高騰していますので、ロースターに空きさえあれば格安で獲得できるルール5ドラフトはコストパフォーマンスに優れており、ブルペンを補強するのに最適な手段と言えるでしょう。
豊富な候補者の中から厳選したのが次の表に掲げる18名です。
特にRyan Webb, Evan Reifert, Bryan Magdaleno, Yordanny Monegro は人気を集めると思います。
