April 18, 2nd regional internship Visit Graf, Ikeda diversity center, Nakanoshima art museum
We visited the Ikeda Diversity Centre near the shopping street. K-san, the leader, told us about the problem of insufficient resources for Japanese language support, the seriousness of DV consultations and the difficulty of awareness-raising activities.
Afterwards, we visited Graf, a design company in Osaka, to see their office and hear about their various local projects.
Then, we attended the grant ceremony of the Hosen Cultural Foundation. At the grant ceremony, Hashizume-sensei, the head of the grant judging team, told us about the idea of 'Osaka in Motion'.
Many organisations involved in culture and the arts in Osaka Prefecture had gathered, and although I sometimes felt out of place, it was good to be able to introduce Ishibashi to them.
Also, Yamazaki-sensei, a researcher at the Nakanoshima Art Centre, who was attending the meeting, gave us a tour of the inside of the art centre, which has just opened this year.
