shogun:三浦按針の御墓は平戸にあります。

まさか、今、また米ドラマ＃SHOGUN で世界中から大注目されるとは・・・。

YOUTUBEで断片的ですが観ています。実話に基づいており、戦国時代のヒリヒリするような緊張感が半端ない・・。

砂の上に世界地図を描いて当時の世界情勢：カソリック：スペイン＋ポルトガルが世界覇権を狙っており、日本はすでに彼らの領土になりつつある。（キリシタン大名を使って統治させるねらい）イギリスとオランダ（プロテスタント）それを阻止しするため戦ってる、勝つためにTORANAGA様のお力が・・・と吹き込んでいるシーンは実に面白い。

このことは後の江戸時代を通して、鎖国やキリスト教・禁教令の政策を考えるうえで実に興味深い・・・・。徳川家による確固たる幕藩体制の構築。
家康は国内で争ってる場合でない、一刻もはやく戦国の世を終わらせて、二度と乱世にしてはならない！さもなくは・・・と、ひっ迫した海外からの圧力を感じていたのではないだろうか。

William Adams

Miura Anjin (English name is William Adams)
William Adams was the navigation officer on an English ship. He explored the oceans to discover routes to Asian countries from England. A Dutch ship he had boarded drifted towards Japan in 1600. Afterwards, he met Tokugawa Iyeyasu. He introduced and instructed Tokugawa in the advanced skills and knowledge of the West in the areas of trade, shipbuilding, military tactics and weaponry, and so on. He was ordered to conduct negotiations with foreign traders on the behalf of the Tokugawa government. William was given a Japanese name ("Miura Anjin"), a sword, and territory like a Japanese retainer. He became a samurai indeed. He stayed in Hirado to work for an English trading house. He sailed the oceans to trade with the Siamese Dynasty (present–day Thailand), Vietnam and China. He married a Japanese woman ("Oyuki") and had a son ("Joseph") and a daughter ("Suzanne"). He never forgot England; his homeland. His requests for permission to go home were denied by Iyeyasu. He always raised an English flag at his house in Hirado. He died on Hirado Island in 1620 when he was 56 years old.

平戸もまた迫害された使徒（潜伏キリシタンの土地である。

History of Pesection against Chrischians

Initially, Matsura Takanobu, the lord of the Hirado Clan, reluctantly permitted Christianity to flourish to promote trade with Portugal. But when his son, Shigenobu, inherited the title of lord, he began persecuting Christians by executing Christians, exiling missionaries and abolishing churches. After Toyotomi Hideyoshi united Japan, he placed a ban on Christianity throughout Japan in 1587. In 1613, the Tokugawa Shogunate followed Toyotomi Hideyoshi's anti-Christian policies. Hirado was regarded by the Tokugawa Shogunate as being an area having a close relationship with Christianity. The Hirado Clan had to severely crack down on the Christians, otherwise they could be abolished by the Tokugawa Shogunate. So, the lords of the Hirado Clan built temples as evidence to prove that they were non-Christians.

This is a monument for Christian martyrs on Hirado Islands.

以上ことを踏まえて遠藤周作の「沈黙」＝「SILENCE]を読む/観ると、時代背景からより理解が深まると思う。いづれまた・・・。
