「あなたの信仰があなたを直したのです。」（マルコ５：３４）
前回のメッセージで、１２年間も長血で苦しんでいたある女性の癒しについて学んだ。イエスは、この女性に「あなたの信仰があなたを直したのです。安心して帰りなさい。病気にかからず、すこやかでいなさい。」（マルコ５：３４）と語りかけている。それと対比するように、自分の郷里に行かれたイエスに向かい、「この人に与えられた知恵や、この人の手でおこなわれるこのような力あるわざは、いったい何でしょう。この人は大工ではありませんか。マリヤの子で、ヤコブ、ヨセ、ユダ、シモンの兄弟ではありませんか。」こうして彼らはイエスにつまずいた。（マルコ６：３）とある。それで、そこでは何一つ力あるわざを行なうことができず、・・・イエスは彼らの不信仰に驚かれた。と書かれている。
イエスこそ、私の必要に答えてくださるお方、この方の力に触れて癒していただきたい。そう願ったこの女性は、神の力を体験することとなる。反対に、イエスの家族を含めて、イエスを神の子、救い主と信じない者たちには、何一つ力あるわざを行うことができなかったとある。
神様への私たちの信仰こそ、神の力を体験するカギとなっていることが対比されて教えられている。ぜひ、マルコ５：２５－３４、６：１－６を読んでみ言葉の語りかけを体験して欲しい。
しかし、話はこれでは終わらない。この時点でイエスに対する信仰を持てなかったイエスの兄弟、ヤコブは、後にイスラエルにできた教会のリーダーの一人になり、ヤコブの手紙を書くことになる。そして、ユダはユダの手紙を書くほどにクリスチャンとして成長することになる。これも驚きである。信仰は神が与えてくださる賜物でもあることに気づかされる。お兄さんであるイエスの言葉に触れつづけ、イエスの奇跡を目撃し、イエスの十字架を目にして、自分の握っていた価値観を変えられることとなる。
ご一緒に私に信仰を与えてくださり、私の信仰を深めてください。そして、私の信仰を通して神の御業を体験する者としてくださいと一緒に祈って行きたいと願う。

そこで、イエスは彼女にこう言われた。「娘よ。あなたの信仰があなたを直したのです。安心して帰りなさい。病気にかからず、すこやかでいなさい。」
"Your faith has healed you" (Mark5:34)
In my last sermon, we read about the woman who had suffered bleeding for 12 years. Jesus had said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering" (Mark 5:34). Compare this with the response Jesus received in his hometown: "What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They took offense at him. And it is written that he was not able to perform miracles there... Jesus was amazed by their lack of faith.
The woman thought, surely Jesus will do for me what I need; if I touch him, I will be healed. Because of that, she experienced the power of God. On the other hand, Jesus' family and fellow townsmen did not believe he was the son of God, the Savior, and so he could do nothing for them.
It is our faith in God which is the key to experiencing His power. That is what I taught in my sermon, by comparing the two passages. I hope you too will experience what the Word is talking about here in Mark 5:25-34 and Mark 6:1-6.
But that is not all to the tale. James, who did not believe in his brother Jesus at the time, would later become a leader of the Church in Israel and write the book of James. And Judas (Jude) would himself grow in the Christian faith and write the book of Jude. Surprising, isn't it? This makes me think that faith is a gift from God. The two brothers who listened to Jesus' teaching, witnessed his miracles and crucifixion, would come to change the values they once clung to.
Let's pray: "God, grant me faith, deepen it. And through my faith, let me experience the work of God."
"Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering" (Mark 5:34).
