会社の借入金等の利息の支払い能力を測るための指標。年間の事業利益（営業利益と受取利息・配当金）が、金融費用（支払利息・割引料）の何倍であるかを示す。
インタレストカバレッジレシオ ＝
（営業利益＋受取利息＋受取配当金）÷（支払利息＋割引料）
で表される。
企業の信用力を評価するための財務指標のひとつであり、証券アナリストが企業の安全性分析を行う際に用いられる。社債等の格付けを行う場合にも重視される。損益計算書により計算することができる。一般的に、倍率が高いほど金利負担の支払能力が高く財務的に余裕があるとされる。
