英語「お手数おかけします」

ビジネスで相手に何かを依頼するとき
「お手数おかけしますが、〇〇」

日本語では決まりきった常套句だけど
英語だとどう言っていいものか迷ってしまいますね。そんな便利な表現をお届けします。

もっともシンプル　カジュアル
Sorry for the trouble, but could you

フォーマルな表現:
"We apologize for the inconvenience, but..."
"Sorry for the trouble, but..."
"We appreciate your effort, but..."
"If it’s not too much trouble, could you...?"

カジュアル・やや丁寧な表現:
"I hate to trouble you, but..."
"I know it’s a bit of a hassle, but..."
"If you don’t mind, could you...?"

よりフォーマルなビジネス向け:
"We would appreciate it if you could..."
"Would you mind...?"

例えば、「お手数ですが、資料をお送りいただけますか？」は以下のように言えます。

"Sorry for the trouble, but could you send me the documents?"（カジュアル）

"We would appreciate it if you could send us the documents."（フォーマル）

"If it’s not too much trouble, could you send us the documents?"（ややフォーマル）

日本語だとどうしてもフォーマルにして長い表現になりがちですが、ネイティブ以外の人との会話では、カジュアルな表現でシンプルなもののほうがお互いに通じやすかったりしますよね。

書き言葉以外であれば、技術者同士の会話はカジュアルな表現を使って問題ないと思います。
