Rainy Thanksgiving Week - 雨続きのサンクスギビングWeek
今週木曜日はアメリカではThanks givingという祝日になります。家族で集まって七面鳥を食べて酒を飲みまくるというイベントというイメージですが、祝日が少ないアメリカにおいて貴重な祝日の一つです。また本格的なホリデーシーズンの始まりという点において、私個人ではとっても大好きなイベントの一つです。
今週はずっと雨が降っていて、木曜日は晴れてほしいのですが、天気予報を見ているとなんとも言えない感じです。朝雨の中ジムに行くのはなかなか辛いものがありますが、雨で休み分けにもいかないので毎朝ぶつくさ言いながらハンドルを握っています。
This Thursday is Thanksgiving in America. While it's commonly seen as an event where families gather to eat turkey and drink plenty of alcohol, it's one of the precious holidays in America, where holidays are relatively scarce. As it also marks the beginning of the full holiday season, it's personally one of my favorite events.
It's been raining all week, and while I'm hoping for clear weather on Thursday, the weather forecast isn't looking too promising. Going to the gym in the morning rain is quite challenging, but I can't use the rain as an excuse to skip it, so I grumble every morning as I grip the steering wheel.
