Heart Cocktail Back in Business

We have been living through a strange moratorium period
for nearly two years since early 2020.

How are you doing?

I have had more time to wander around Tokyo and reunite with old friends.

I visited my high school buddy, Mami Ito, one day at her Bar “Dress” in Ginza. She has been running the bar as a “Writer’s Den” for the last 20 years.

We used to play together in a band.
She played bass guitar and I played drums.

After several catch up sessions we came up with the idea
to collaborate and start a new business.

We decided to reopen my cocktail bar “Heart Cocktail”
in her bar “Dress” as “Heart Cocktail@Dress”.

I will be there twice a week on Thursday and Friday evenings
from 6pm to 11pm to serve cocktails
behind the counter in the usual shot bar style.

Some of the proceeds from this business will benefit
Refugee Empowerment International (REI).
