Silver lining

A silver lining is a positive aspect or sign of hope in a situation that is otherwise negative. It's a metaphor that compares a cloudy situation to the sun shining through the clouds, with the silver lining representing the positive part.

アメリカのポシテブシンキキングを示しているようで、好きな言葉。日本語だとあまり見当たらない。「不幸中の幸い」だとまだマイナス感が残る。「怪我の功名」ってその時限りでそういうこともあるってレベルが違和感。「災い転じて福となる」もそう。
