2月半ばから滞在しているアーティスト高梨麻梨香の成果展を開催します。
高梨は日本各地のAIRに参加しながら、訪れた土地の民話や風土そして「音」を収集し、【音響】を主な表現方法として活動しているアーティストです。
岩倉市に滞在しているこの１ヶ月間、高梨は様々な分野を専門とする方々と交流を重ねてきました。これらの経験を通して、今回の展示では会場に在廊しながら多様なイベントを企画する「ワークインプログレス」という形式に挑戦します。 
また、この展示を契機に始まる交流やプロジェクトは、アーティストがこの地を離れた後も継続され、表現に関わる人間や、さらにはこの地域にとって新たな気づきとなることを目指します。

高梨麻梨香
1995年秋田県生まれ、大分県別府市在住。2023年秋田公立美術大学大学院複合芸術研究科修了。
これまで、建築など都市の視覚的環境の特性に関心を持ち、可視・不可視の「かたち」の堆積としての都市を積分的に分析していくリサーチを通して、自ら録音・編集した音を構成していく。ノイズを「不要で排除されるもの」のメタファーとして捉え、慣行や社会構造からみえる排除の構造に着目し、「ノイズ」を主題としたサウンドインスタレーションを展開している。

We are pleased to present an exhibition of the results of Marika Takanashi, an artist in residence since mid-February.
Takanashi is an artist who participates in AIR programs throughout Japan, collecting folktales, local customs, and sounds, and using "sound" as her main method of expression.
During her month-long stay in Iwakura, she has interacted with people specializing in various fields. Through these experiences, she will try a "work-in-progress" format for this exhibition.The interactions and projects initiated by this exhibition will continue even after the artists have left the area. This is intended to be a new awareness for those involved in artistic expression and for the local community.

Marika Takanashi (b.1995, Akita/Japan) is interested in the characteristics of the visual environment of cities, such as architecture, and composes her own recorded and edited sounds through research that integrally analyzes the city as a deposit of visible and invisible "forms". She considers noise as a metaphor for "what is unnecessary and excluded," and focuses on the structure of exclusion seen in practices and social structures, developing sound installations with "noise" as the theme.
