最初に所属していた楽団は
The orchestra to which I first belonged

演奏会当日にはプロが入る
Professionals enter on the day of the concert

初心者でも入れる場所でした
It was a place where even beginners could enter.

ずいぶん意地悪されたんですよ
Some were mean

自信が無い人ほど
The less confident people

人の粗を探し
Looking for a rough person

相手を落とす事をやるんです
Try to drop the opponent

そうやって自分を保つ

でも初心者だから
But I'm a beginner.

とにかく耐えた

上手くなりたかったら

ある方が私に近付いてきて

今の楽団に連れて行ってくれました

こちらは演奏のレベルは
This is the level of performance.

はるかに高く
Much higher

人の脚をひっぱる人なんていない
No one pulls people's legs.

自分の技術をひけらかす人もいない
No one is able to draw on their skills.

よい作品を作るなら
If you want to make a good work

よい人格でなければならない
You have to be a good personality.
