September 30, 2023 イベント甲子園2023決勝大会 "Event Koshien" (National Contest for Event Planning by High School Students) 2023 Final

　全国の高校生がイベント企画のアイデアを競い合う「イベント甲子園」の決勝大会５組に選ばれ、オンラインによるプレゼンテーションを行いました。
　優勝チームには賞金１００万円、準優勝チームには賞金５０万円が実行資金として授与される魅力的な大会です。
　今回『みんなのおそう島』実行委員会として、僕らが毎年開催している海岸清掃イベント「ビーチクリーンクリスマス」の進化版「Beach Cleen Christmas All Over the World」を提案。応募時に提出した企画書の審査を経て全国大会に出場しました。
　企画内容は、これまで続けてきた海岸清掃イベントを、島内だけでなく、島外の地域とオンラインで結び同時開催。全国、さらには世界へと、同時中継での開催地域を増やしていこうというもので、開催地のマッピングや回収ごみの種類や量などを見える化し、ゲーム性を持たせて競い合ったり、コミュニケーションできたりするアプリを地元・弓削商船高専の情報工学科の協力のもと開発を行うというものです。
　プレゼンテーションは、『みんなのおそう島』実行委員会の弓削中学校出身の同級生メンバーで行いました。弓削高校女子２名、弓削商船高専情報工学科男子１名、松山東高校男子１名（僕）の混成チームで、海の見える弓削高校の教室をお借りして、PCのカメラで窓から見える海を映し出すところからプレゼンテーションを始めました。
　ただスライドを見せるだけではつまらないので、それぞれが島の名物である、タコ、鯛、そして弓削高校の女子高生クリエイター作成の上島町非公式キャラクター「上島瑠海（かみしまるみ）」、そしておそうじサンタ（僕）に扮して、寸劇スタイルのプレゼンテーションに仕立てました。
　審査員からの笑い声も画面の向こうから聞こえてくる中、最高に楽しくプレゼンテーションをやり切りましたが、審査結果は残念ながら、上位２チームにはいることができませんでした。
　しかし、実行委員会のメンバーと、普段の活動とは異なる形のチャレンジができ、とても濃密な時間を過ごしました。
　今回、企画した内容は資金が得られなかったからというだけでお蔵入りにせず、特に同時中継での多地域開催は、資金がなくてもできる内容なので近いうちに実現したいと考えています。
　考えるきっかけを与えて下さった主催者の皆様と、一緒にチャレンジしてくれた実行委員会のメンバー（陰でサポートしてくださった弓削高、弓削商船高専の先生方など大人メンバー含む。）に感謝です。ありがとうございました！

　Our project was selected as one of the five finalists in the “Event Koshien,” a competition in which high school students from all over Japan compete with their event planning ideas, and we gave an online presentation.
　This is an attractive competition in which the winning team receives 1 million yen in prize money and the runner-up 500,000 yen in prize money as implementation funds.
　This time, as the executive committee of “Minna no Osojima(Clean-up Island of everyone)”, we proposed “Beach Cleen-up Christmas All over the World”, an evolved version of our annual beach cleanup event “Beach Clean Christmas”. We participated in the national competition after reviewing the proposal submitted at the time of application.
　The plan is to hold the coastal cleanup events that have been held in the past not only on the island, but also simultaneously by connecting them online with areas outside the island. The plan is to increase the number of areas where the event is simultaneously broadcasted to the rest of the country and even to the world. The presentation was given by members of the “Minna no Oso-jima” Executive Committee, all classmates from Yuge Junior High School. The mixed team of two girls from Yuge High School, one boy from the Yuge College of Maritime Technology and Information Engineering, and one boy (me) from Matsuyama East High School borrowed a classroom at Yuge High School with a view of the ocean and began the presentation by using a PC camera to project the ocean seen from the window.
　Since just showing slides is boring, we each dressed up as an octopus, a sea bream, an island specialty, “Rumi Kamishima,” an unofficial character of Kamijima Town (our town) created by a high school girl creator from Yuge High School, and “Osoji Santa (me),” to create a skit-style presentation.
　We had the most fun working through our presentations with laughter coming from behind the screen from the judges, but unfortunately we were not able to be in the top two teams as a result of the judging.
　However, I had a very intense time with the executive committee members, as we were able to challenge ourselves in a different way from our usual activities.
　We do not want to put the contents of this project on hold simply because we could not obtain funding, and in particular, we would like to realize a multi-regional event with simultaneous broadcasts in the near future, as it is something that can be done even without funding.
　I would like to thank the organizers for giving us a chance to think about it, and the members of the executive committee who took on the challenge with me (including adult members such as teachers from Yuge High School and Yuge College of Maritime Technology who supported us in the shadows).
