About acupuncture
Hello (^^)/
Today I will talk about acupuncture.
There are many types of acupuncture.
The number of acupuncture needles used in Japan indicates the thickness.
Numbers 0 to 5 are often used to classify needles used in Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion clinics.
The thickness increases by 0.02 mm for each different type. No. 0 starts at 0.14 mm, No. 1 is 0.16 mm, No. 2 is 0.18 mm, and No. 5 is 0.24 mm
Even after reading this, you probably would have trouble telling thin from thick apart, wouldn't you?.
The diameter of an injection needle is about 0.5 mm for vaccination and 0.7 mm for blood sampling.
When you hear this, you get the impression that acupuncture needles are much thinner than injection needles.
Injection needles have a sharp tip to puncture blood vessels, while acupuncture needles have a rounded tip that allows them to push through skin and muscle fibers, making them less painful.
I also often use number 0 for the face acupuncture .
For the body, number 1 is often used, but for customers who like the stimulation of acupuncture, I use number 5 !
There are many different ways to apply acupuncture.
In Japan, acupuncture needles are inserted into a metal or plastic straw-like tube called an acupuncture tube, which is slightly shorter than acupuncture needles. It is a unique Japanese method that allows for almost painless needle insertion for the patient.
Of course, I also use this method .
