GSC Yokohamaに新しいメンバーが入ったよ！New members have joined Yokohama hub !

皆さんこんにちは！Global Shapers Community YokohamaハブのKayoです！

ついに私達Global Shapers Community Yokohamaハブに新しいメンバーが入りました！

2月から新メンバーを募集させていただいていましたが、実にたくさんのタレント豊かな方々からの応募があり、私達コミュニティが更にパワーアップしました。ご協力いただいた皆様に、改めて感謝を申し上げます。

4月末には、新メンバーオリエンテーションを含めたキックオフミーティング（朝の10時から4時まで！）を開催しました。

キックオフミーティングの中ではまずはじめに、メンバーそれぞれが事前に準備してきた自己紹介を3分間で行いました。それぞれが初めて同士であり、人数も多いため、相互理解を深めるための工夫として16 personality testを取り入れました。これはその人の性格を簡単なウェブテストで16通りに分類するものです。

この事前診断を実施することで、相手の性格や思考の特徴を理解することができます。

ちなみに私のを入れておくと、私はエンターテイナー気質なのだそうです。

更にお互いのメンバーを理解するための活動して3−4名のグループに分かれ「My Life Curve」というミニワークショップも取り入れました。

これはサンプルとしてネット上から持ってきたものなのですが、このような形でそれぞれ自分の人生のこれまでの「Life Curve＝人生のグラフ」を作ってきてもらい、自己紹介だけではなかなか理解できない、メンバーの人生観や価値観に触れ合う時間を設けました。

オンボーディングとして、私達GSCの役割や目的、Yokohama Hubのこれまでの活動やプロジェクトについてそれぞれ発表し合いました。今回メンバーが増えたことで、新しいプロジェクトが立ち上がったり、これまでの既存に新メンバーが加わり新しい動きがスタートしました。今後、さらに皆さんにも活動内容をお伝えできると思うので、ぜひ楽しみにしていてください！

改めて、こちらで新しいメンバーをご紹介させてください。

これまでのYokohama Hubと大きく変わったことは、新たに日本国籍以外のメンバーが加わったことです。日本、インド、インドネシア、アメリカ、フィリピンのバックグラウンドを持つメンバー構成になりました。

そのためミーティングのコミュニケーションの主要言語が英語になったり、私達としても大きな変化を体感しています。

新しいメンバーが加わり、さらにパワーアップする私達Yokohama Hubの活動に、ぜひ皆さんご参加ください！コロナウイルスの感染が広がり、引き続きオンラインでの活動が続きますが、皆さん十分にウイルス対策に気をつけながらお過ごしください！

Hello everyone, this is Kayo from Global Shapers Community Yokohama hub!

Finally, we have new members in our Global Shapers Community Yokohama hub!

We've been recruiting new members since February, and we've had a lot of applications from talented people. Our community has become even more powerful. We would like to thank all of you again for your support.

At the end of April, we had a kickoff meeting (from 10am to 4pm !) that includes a new member orientation.

During the kickoff meeting, the first thing each member did was to introduce themselves, which they had prepared beforehand, in three minutes. Because of the large number of participants, the 16-personality test was incorporated as a device to deepen mutual understanding.
It's a simple web test that categorizes a person's personality into 16 ways.

This pre-diagnosis will allow you to understand the personality and thinking characteristics of the other person.
In order to get to know each other, we divided into groups of 3-4 people and held a mini-workshop called "My Life Curve".

This is a sample that I brought from the Internet, but I asked each member to make a "Life Curve" (life graph) of their life so far, and set aside time to get in touch with the members' views on life and values, which are difficult to understand by just introducing yourself.

As on-boarding, we presented the role and purpose of GSC and the activities and projects of Yokohama Hub so far. With the addition of new members, new projects have been launched and new moves have started with the addition of new members to the existing ones. I'm sure I'll be able to tell you more about our activities in the future, so please look forward to it!

One of the major changes from the previous Yokohama Hub is the addition of a new member who is not a Japanese citizen. Our members have backgrounds in Japan, India, Indonesia, the United States, and the Philippines.

As a result, the primary language of communication in meetings is now English, and we are experiencing a significant change.

With the addition of new members, we will be powering up our activities even more, so please join us! As the coronavirus spreads, we'll continue to stay online, but I hope everyone stays vigilant against the virus!
