Today’s word: myriad

I took a role, called Grammarian, for my English speech club, where I took note any improper English usage, and provided a “Today’s word” for building vocabulary.

I chose “myriad”.

Myriad is a countable noun. It means countless or extremely great number. In a sentence, “The Internet connects a myriad of people through a myriad of computers.” You can use “myriad” as an adjective. For instance, “In reducing carbon dioxide, there are myriad technological challenges. But at the same time, there’re myriad business opportunities.” I’m looking forward to hearing “myriad” in your speech myriad times. Thank you.
