Q.Why did you respond with "Ask the balloon" when asked about the balloon that flew into Japan during a press conference while you were Defense Minister?

A.At that time, discussions with Secretary of Defense Esper included the topic of third-country espionage, and he had made remarks like, "If UFOs belong to aliens, there’s no need to worry..." Regarding this balloon, the official response was "I will refrain from answering" to avoid revealing the Self-Defense Forces' intelligence processing capabilities. So, as a joke, I said, "Ask the balloon."
