1回βTOEIC &TOEFL用単語


では本編スタートですね。

このシリーズの記事は私自身もスキマ時間の復習で使い倒す予定なので、私の裁量で改善されていく予定です。

また、必要かどうか迷ったんですが、EがTOEICのテキスト、FがTOEFLのテキストでピックアップされていた単語です。

とりあえず単語に横付けしときますー。

TOEIC対策したい方はEを重点的に、TOEFL対策はFですね。

ここから日本語で解説

1回目は以上です。

immediateは、意味としては「即」でしょうか。

しかし、同じ「即座に」を取っても「速さのおかげで即」というよりは「隣接してる=即」という感じがありますね。

ただ、仮にimmediateの代わりにrapid等の単語を言っても変か?と言われればそうではなく(ないらしく?)、外人さんが言い直してくれることもあります。

immediately は、使いながら「without waitingでもいいな…」みたいに思い出せれば多分okなんじゃないでしょうか。

immediatelyの方が緊急性は高そうですけどね。

まあ、正味な話テストではアウトかもしれませんが、文末にimmediateと言ったところで通じるとは思いますがね。

は、確かに「間に何もない」と言えますね。

英語を学ぶと視野が広まる!とはよく言いますが、直属の上司=間に別の役職や部署の人間が欠けている、なんてのはいい例じゃないでしょうか。

immediate以外は素直で覚えやすくよさそうですねー。
