Blackboxとは
We are a global media outlet that openly and fairly reports on the Japanese startup scene.
The project was initiated by Shibuya City in Tokyo, and is run by Queue, Inc., which has its base in Shibuya City.
Shibuya City is one of the most supportive local governments in Japan when it comes to startup support, with initiatives such as SSS (Shibuya Startup Support).

Japan has the highest number of corporate businesses per unit area of land in the world.
It is a golden land with untapped business opportunities for B2B companies, but at the same time,
the language barrier of Japanese is the highest in the world.
However, the fact is that information disseminated in Japanese is completely inaccessible to non-Japanese speakers.
In Japan, there is a wealth of support and assistance for people who come to Japan to start a business from overseas.
In Japan, there are many communities for foreign entrepreneurs to connect with each other.
In Japan, there are platforms and support for foreigners to find work.
What if more foreigners knew about this?
What if starting a business in Japan became a natural option?
What if a company started in Japan grew to become a global company?
That possibility could have made life in Japan even richer.
That possibility could have made Japan's economy even brighter.
That possibility could have made the future of people living in the world even more wonderful.
By clarifying the current situation in Japan and supplying information in English to entrepreneurs and investors around the world,
we aim to build a Japanese startup ecosystem that does not leave out entrepreneurs from around the world.
