Why I’ve Decided to Switch to Writing in English

To thrive in this environment, accessing and understanding English-language content isn’t just helpful—it’s essential.

Let’s face it: most of the world’s exciting trends, breakthroughs, and creative works are born in English-speaking communities. Take any field—be it technology, finance, art, or even entertainment—and you’ll find that the original and most comprehensive resources are almost always in English.
Even in niche areas like 3D modeling, cryptocurrency, or software development, high-quality tutorials, forums, and articles are predominantly in English. Relying solely on translated material often means lagging behind, as translations take time, and some nuances get lost in the process.
This isn’t limited to professional knowledge. Even culturally taboo or risqué topics like adult content, for example, are more diverse and advanced in English-speaking communities. While some may argue that Japan leads the world in specific niches, I’ve found that global trends often move faster. Being unaware of this broader perspective means potentially missing out on what the world has to offer.
Why Japanese Audiences Should Embrace English
Many Japanese people are still hesitant to engage deeply with English content, often citing its complexity or their own lack of fluency. This mindset could be detrimental in the long run. Ignoring this shift could result in a life spent playing catch-up, always waiting for translated content and missing out on real-time discussions that shape the future. For anyone who wants to stay informed, connected, and relevant, embracing English isn’t optional—it’s a necessity.
My Shift from Japanese to English Content
For these reasons, I’ve decided that this blog will now focus exclusively on English content. This isn’t just about personal growth or audience expansion; it’s about practicing what I preach. This isn’t my only venture into English-language media. I also publish content on platforms like Medium, which is a great resource for high-quality articles but often features paywalls that can be a barrier for some readers. On the other hand, Japanese platforms like Note tend to offer more free content, but they lack the same global reach and engagement that platforms like Medium provide.
The shift is also motivated by a desire to contribute to a future where more Japanese individuals feel comfortable engaging with English. By producing English content, I hope to inspire others to make similar transitions and embrace the opportunities that come with stepping outside their linguistic comfort zones.

From now on, I plan to focus on creating and publishing English articles at scale. This decision aligns with my belief that the ability to navigate English content is no longer a luxury—it’s a requirement.
