世界的にも高名な産地であるアデレード・ヒルズに位置し、オーストラリアの冷涼地域の代表選手として知られるショウ・アンド・スミス。このシラーズも、シラーズらしいスパイシーさはありつつも、全体的にはほっそりとした直線的な骨格があり、冷涼地らしく重さのないボディが特徴です。
香りは熟したプラムやブルーベリー、ブラックペッパーなどのスパイシーな香りと、少しスモーキー中折りも感じられます。まだ若い状態ですが、各要素同士が見事に調和しています。
 
アデレード・ヒルズは、これまでに体験したことがないほどの大規模な山火事に見舞われ、多くのワイン産地も被害を受けています。産地への応援の意味も込めて、お楽しみいただきたいワインです。
 
Shaw + Smith is one of the most famous winemakers located in Adelaide Hills, Australia which is known as a world quality wine region. This Shiraz has high acidity and a linear palate-shape, though it has typically spicy hints. It’s so typical of a cool climate area.
Aromas are ripe plum, blueberry, black pepper and hint of some smoked aromas. Though it’s still young, it shows well-balanced composition.
 
Adelaide Hills is damaged by a serious forest fire we have never seen. Many wine regions suffer from it. We are rooting for them with this wine.
