入学式：2023年4月2日（日）

今年も経済学部で新入生約620名を受け入れることになった。経済学を学ぶことで思考力，判断力，表現力を習得してもらいたい。みずから考えること，豊かな想像力を磨いてもらいたいと思う。

　本学は10学部を擁する一拠点総合大学であり，決して利便性の高い立地とは言い難いが，約15,000人の学生が一つの贅沢な建物群からなるキャンパスで学んでいる。これも一つの縁だと思って，何より，楽しい気持ちで大学生活を過ごしてもらいたい。

　あまり，目先の即物的で目に見えるような成果物を手に入れようと焦らないで欲しい。桃栗三年柿八年である。

Entrance Ceremony：April 2nd(Sunday)

This year, we will welcome about 620 new students to the Faculty of Economics. We hope that they will learn critical thinking, judgment, and expression skills through studying economics. We also hope that they will develop their own ideas and enhance their rich imagination.

Our university is a comprehensive institution with 10 faculties, and although our location may not be the most convenient, our campus consists of a luxurious group of buildings for students to learn in. We consider this a special opportunity and want our students to enjoy their university life with a sense of excitement.

We urge students not to focus too much on immediate, visible results, but to remember that good things take time. As the Japanese saying goes, "it takes three years for a peach tree and a chestnut tree to bear fruit, and eight years for a persimmon tree".
