時習館同窓同期会：2024年8月25日（日）

昨日，愛知県立時習館高校を1980年に卒業して44年を記念して，62歳から63歳までの10名の初老たちが集う楽しい同窓同期会（32期）が，JR名古屋駅新幹線口（太閤口）のすぐ近くのMITANIビル8階のPRIVATE DINING（点（ともる））で開かれた。

　今回の同窓同期会は，おもに高校1年および/または2年が同じクラスであり，鉄道のローカル線を利用した通学もしくは自転車通学であり，生徒会や文化祭（時習祭）でとりわけ何某かの関係のあったメンバーたちの集まりである。在学時代から「時習館ローカル線の星」などと自分たちで勝手に名乗りを上げていた。

　当時は，国鉄二俣線，国鉄飯田線，東海道本線，名古屋鉄道，豊鉄渥美線を利用して通学をすることが，豊橋市の中心部に住む都会人とは異なるという意味で，ローカルな人々として自虐的に群がっていた。愛知県と静岡県を跨ぐ越境通学の生徒もいるなど，通学途上でいろいろな出来事に遭遇していたため，常に話題のネタが尽きることはなかった。

　2時間あまりの一次会の同窓同期会では，美酒美食をとりながら，10名各自の高校卒業後から今日に至るまでの「振り返り」の紹介で，予定していた時間が完全に消化されてしまうほどに，高校生時代の想い出が走馬灯のように浮かぶ充実した時間であった。

　2年後の再会を期して散会となった。皆さん，正しい健康管理のもとで，それまでお元気で。

Jishukan Alumni Class Reunion: August 25th(Sunday), 2024

Yesterday, to commemorate 44 years since the graduation of the 32nd class from Aichi Prefectural Jishukan High School in 1980, a joyful class reunion was held at PRIVATE DINING (Tomoru) on the 8th floor of the MITANI Building, located right near the Shinkansen Exit (Taikōguchi) of JR Nagoya Station. The event brought together 10 elderly individuals, aged 62 to 63.

This reunion of classmates primarily includes those who were in the same class during their first and/or second year of high school. They commuted by local train lines or bicycles, and were particularly connected through activities like the student council or the cultural festival (Jishu Festival). Back in those days, they whimsically dubbed themselves "The Stars of the Jishukan Local Train Line."

At the time, commuting by trains like the JNR Futamata Line, the JNR Iida Line, the Tokaido Main Line, the Nagoya Railroad, or the Toyohashi Railway Atsumi Line set them apart from those who lived in the urban center of Toyohashi City, making them feel like a group of local folks with a bit of self-deprecating humor. Some students even crossed the prefectural border between Aichi and Shizuoka for school, leading to countless events during their commutes, ensuring they always had something to talk about.

During the two-hour-plus first gathering, the time flew by as the 10 participants enjoyed fine food and drink while sharing their reflections on the years since their high school graduation. The conversation was so engaging that the scheduled time was completely consumed, with high school memories vividly coming to mind like a revolving lantern.

The reunion concluded with a pledge to meet again in two years. Everyone was encouraged to stay healthy and well until then, under proper health management.
