パリ五輪の日本男子体操団体の金メダル獲得で思うこと：2024年7月30日（火）
今回のパリ五輪の日本男子体操団体の27日の予選では，橋本大輝選手の動きが明らかに良くなかった。テレビ越しでLIVEで観ていて少し心配していた。決勝でも橋本大輝選手はあん馬で落下した。しかし，予選の出来といい，決勝でのあん馬の落下といい，橋本大輝選手は潔く最後までよく頑張った。言葉には表せないようなプレッシャーや，私たちにはその他の知らない事柄で，理想の状態ではなかったのだろう。
結果として，日本男子体操団体が金メダルを獲得できたのは目出度いことではあったが，結果オーライとか，他の選手が頑張ったとか，中国の一部の選手が鉄棒で失敗したとか，そんなことはどうでもよいような気がしてならない。私が注目していたことは，決勝で鉄棒を見事に演技を成功させた橋本大輝選手がとった行動である。鉄棒演技を残していた中国選手を気遣って観客の歓声を止めるように両腕でポーズを見せたことである。こうした行動は，勝ち負けのみを最優先する商業主義や国家主義では理解不能な振る舞いである。
他方，中国の選手が鉄棒で２度落下して，この選手に対する中国でのSNS上での誹謗中傷が醜くて仕方がない。「日本の国籍をとれとか，安定して失敗する選手とか，賄賂で代表を獲得したとか」，他国とはいえ，また不都合な情報を検閲している国ではあるとはいえ，悲しい。
Thoughts on the Japanese Men's Gymnastics Team Winning the Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics: July 30th(Tuesday)
In the preliminary round of the Japanese men's gymnastics team at the Paris Olympics on the 27th, Daiki Hashimoto's performance was clearly not good. Watching it live on TV, I was a bit worried. Even in the finals, Hashimoto fell off the pommel horse. However, despite his performance in the preliminaries and his fall in the finals, Hashimoto persevered admirably until the end. He must have been under unimaginable pressure and other unknown factors that prevented him from being in an ideal condition.
As a result, it was a joyous occasion that the Japanese men's gymnastics team won the gold medal. However, I can't help but feel that whether it was a result of other players' efforts, the Chinese players' mistakes on the horizontal bar, or just good fortune, none of that really matters. What caught my attention was Daiki Hashimoto's behavior after his successful horizontal bar performance in the finals. He made a gesture with both arms to quiet the audience, showing concern for the Chinese player who still had to perform. Such actions are incomprehensible in a commercial or nationalistic environment that prioritizes winning above all else.
On the other hand, the Chinese player fell twice on the horizontal bar, and the malicious comments directed at him on Chinese social media were unbearable. Comments like "Get Japanese nationality," "a player who consistently fails," and "got the spot through bribery" are just sad, even for a country that censors inconvenient information.
