Did you know about the town called Lifta?

There is a course called @arabic.salon where you can learn about Palestine. Ms. Bayan @bayan3145, who lives in Jerusalem, sometimes teach us via Zoom in japanese.

I have participated three times in the past, and this article is about the fourth time.
The past three times
1st → Arabic course “Surprise your friends”
2nd → Arabic course “Learn the words that make you Arab”
3rd time → about Palestinian women activists called "Palestinian society and women."

I can't understand or speak English, but Ms.Bayan is studying Japanese, so we've been able to communicate via Zoom, which is really amazing. (Although I feel embarrassed)

This fourth time, the course name is “Spring Lifta”.

Lifta is located in the north of Jerusalem.
Take a look at the hills where the town where people once lived remains.
The content was that you could see the place live and receive an explanation about the place.
As you can see in the photo, it was peaceful and the flowers were very nice, and there were many houses on the gently wide hill.
However, at first I had a strange impression that there seemed to be no one there.
The course description said it was a refugee camp, but I thought it was more of a ruin than a refugee camp.

Jerusalem can be seen on a hill in the distance

In 1948, the Palestinians who lived here were expelled by the Israelis, and they remain there.
At first I thought it was a very comfortable place, As I learned more about it, it was a very sad place, and when I was heard it, I cried...

Nowadays, some Israelis come to visit Lifta as a park.
It's too sad a place to be considered a park.

In 1948, there was a big disaster for Palestine called the Nakba, when Israel persecuted the Palestinians.
However, horrific acts of genocide are still being carried out by Israel.
It's not something you find in history books or on the internet, it's actually happening today.
Please take a look at the content of this course and past content on Instagram @arabic.salon

And she also creates animation.

I hope you follow the two accounts and cheer to Bayan and learn more about Palestine
if you would like to...!
