WAYBS GITCG Lp CUP Rules and Regulations

If there is any difference in content between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall be considered the official version.

1 Summary

1.1 This Rule

These Rules and Regulations set forth the rules for the "WAYBS GITCG Lp CUP" (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition").

1.2 This Tournament

1 This tournament is for the HOYOVERSE game title "Genshin Impact".
2 All matches in this tournament will be played on the latest version of the Asia server.

1.3 Manager

1 This tournament shall be conducted by "Lp (hereinafter referred to as the "Management Team").
2 The Management Team shall conduct this tournament in compliance with the contents stipulated in the Rules, and shall have the right to make rulings in the event of any content that is not stipulated in the Rules.

1.4 Target

These terms and conditions apply to all players, management teams, and performers of the broadcast.

1.5 Involvement of HoYoverse

HoYoverse has no direct involvement in this competition.

2 Entry

2.1 Terms

Only players who meet all of the following conditions will be allowed to enter
1 The player must have released the Seven Sacred Summons multiplayer function in the game.
2 The player must be able to communicate smoothly in Japanese.
3 The player must be subscribed to the Discord server dedicated to the tournament.

2.2 Agreement

1 Upon completion of entry, participants are deemed to have accepted these Rules and Regulations and all related rules and regulations.
2 No objection to these Terms and Conditions shall be accepted.

2.3 Consent required

Entries made without agreeing to the terms and conditions are invalid.

2.4 Name Restrictions

It is prohibited to set player names that contain political content or are offensive to public order and morals, and to set similar names in areas where they can be seen by an unspecified number of people.

2.5 inappropriate Remarks

It is forbidden to make statements that contain political content or are offensive to public order and morals in the game, on Tonamel, or on the Discord server dedicated to the tournament.

2.6 Maximum

The maximum number of entries is 256.

2.7 Maximum Number of Players in a Team

This tournament is an individual competition. Therefore, the maximum number of players in a team is one.

2.8 When the Entry Limit is Exceeded

If the number of entries exceeds the maximum limit, participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

2.9 Deck Registration

1 The rule is to set up in advance "a pair of 3 character cards and 30 action cards (hereinafter referred to as "registration deck")" (character card setting system).
2 The registration deck must be entered using the image issued in the game.
3 When making an entry, the character cards to be used must be listed in a separate section for the survey.
4 If there is a difference between the deck image and the description for the survey, the deck image shall take precedence.

3 Match Rule

3.1 Schedule

The tournament schedule will be as described on the Tonamel tournament page.

3.2 Begin Match

1 For matches that are not subject to distribution, the match must begin as soon as both players are present.
2 If a player delays the start of a match at his/her own discretion and delays the progress of the tournament, both players will be subject to a penalty.
3 If an unforeseen situation arises that makes it difficult to continue the match, it must be reported to the management team.

3.3 Network Error

Even if a player's result is unintended due to a bad connection or other reasons, the result will be accepted as legitimate.

3.4 Rematch Prohibition

1 Under no circumstances shall a rematch be permitted at the sole discretion of the players. (Any communication problems shall be the responsibility of the players.)
2 If the result is unfavorable to both players, the Management Team may consider whether or not a rematch is possible.
Only the Management Team will decide whether or not a rematch is possible. This section does not cover individual cases.

3.5 Retire without consent

If, after the start of the match, both players use "give up the match" to redo the match without consent of both players, the result is accepted as legitimate.

3.6 Banned Card

All character and action cards available as of the time of the tournament may be used in this tournament.

3.7 World Rank

1 Players shall assemble in the world of the player with the lower world rank.
2 If the world ranks of both players are equal, they shall meet in the world of the player on the upper side of the tournament table.

3.8 Match Subject to Distribution

If a player starts a match without confirming with the management team, even though it is a match subject to distribution, the match will be a rematch.

3.9 Limitation of Movement Range

Players may not leave the range of the in-game "cattails" without cause.

3.10 Deck

Players who use a deck that is not a registered deck will be subject to a penalty.

3.11 Format

1 In principle, a single-elimination format will be used.
2 The format may be changed to a double-elimination format when there are approximately 10 or fewer participants. If a double elimination format is to be used, the Management Team will announce it on the Discord server dedicated to the tournament and on the Tonamel announcement function.

3.12 Match Format

1 In principle, all matches will be played in BO1 format.
2 In the finals, both players and the management team shall discuss whether to adopt the BO3 format, and if the three parties agree to this, the BO3 format shall be used.
3 If the three parties cannot reach an agreement on the preceding paragraph, the BO1 format shall be used.

3.13 Condition of Victory

1 The first player to have all of character cards defeated loses the game. The player who "wins the game" is awarded 1 point.
2 In BO1 format, the player with 1 point wins the game; in BO3 format, the player with 2 points wins the game.
In BO3 format, the player with 2 points is the winner.
3 If the "Give up Game" function is used, or if the game is terminated due to a problem with the Internet connection, etc., the player loses the game regardless of the card life.

3.14 Time Limit

1 From the viewpoint of the smooth progress of the match, if 45 minutes have elapsed from the start of the match and the match has not been completed, both sides shall be declared defeated.
2 This does not apply if the management team approves.

3.15 No Change Deck

No changes to the registration deck will be allowed after the entry deadline.

3.16 BO3 Rule

For matches using the BO3 format, the Conquest method will be used in addition to the normal rules.

3.17 Attention of BO3 format

1 Players must create two decks and register them before the start of the finals.
2 The 6 character cards that make up the two decks may not duplicate.
3 The 30 action cards that make up the two decks can be duplicated.
4 The first of the two decks may be determined arbitrarily.
5 A conquest system is used; the deck of the two decks that wins once cannot be used.
6 No changes to the contents of the decks are allowed.

4 Result

4.1 Report Result

The winner must report the results as soon as possible after the completion of the match. The loser must approve the submitted results.

4.2 Objection

1 The loser may file an objection to the reported result within 3 minutes of the winner's result report.
2 Appeals after the results have been finalized will not be accepted.

4.3 Take a Screenshot

In the event of an appeal, the Management Team will only use the screenshot of the match result submitted by the player to confirm the winner.
Therefore, it is recommended that a screenshot be taken in case of an appeal.

4.4 Objection Limit

If there is no approval or objection from the losing team within three (3) minutes after the results are reported, the result will be accepted as a legitimate result.

5 Bye-Defeated

5.1 Unaccessed

1 If 10 minutes have elapsed from the scheduled start time of the match and both players are still not ready to start the match, the player who cannot confirm access will be declared bye-defeated. Opening the "Tonamel Match Chat" will be considered as "access".
2 The above provisions shall not apply if the Management Team agrees, or if both players and the Management Team agree.

5.2 The Game Doesn't Start

If a friend request is not completed despite access, or if a match does not start because the player does not enter the world, etc., the player will be subject to a penalty.

5.3 Point when Bye-Defeat

In the event of a non-loss due to a violation being discovered, etc., the game shall be considered lost by the greatest conceivable margin of score.

6 Prohibited Activity

6.1 About Prohibited Activity

All of the following are prohibited acts in the conduct of a tournament or match.
1 Intentionally taking advantage of client vulnerabilities or defects.
2 Intentionally encouraging other players to lose, or intentionally losing in response to such encouragement.
3 Verbal abuse or incitement of other players or the management team, or any similar behavior.
4 Posting slanderous or defamatory statements or equivalent on social networking sites against any person or organization involved in this tournament.
5. Not following instructions or requests from the management as necessary for the operation of this tournament. Intentionally obstructing the operation of the event.
6. Failure to respond appropriately to questions necessary for the operation of the event by the Management. Making false declarations to the management.
7. Persistently challenging the ruling of the management team.
8. Players borrowing or lending accounts and pretending to be someone else in order to participate in the tournament. A player participating in the tournament may not ask another player or a third party for instructions during a match.

6.2 Penalty

1 The Management Team may impose a penalty for any matter expressly prohibited under these Rules and Regulations.
2 The details of the penalty will be decided by the Management Team on a case-by-case basis.
3 A player who receives two "warnings" in one tournament shall be "excluded"; a player who receives two "exclusions" in three consecutive tournaments shall be "banned".

6.3 Type of Penalty

Level 1/ Warning: Encourage the player to try to prevent recurrence.
Level 2/Exclusion: The player is excluded from the tournament.
Level 3/Ban: The player is permanently banned from participating in the tournament.

7 Live Broadcasts

7.1About Live Broadcasts

Live broadcasts conducted by individuals are permitted. Delay of live broadcasts shall be at the discretion of each individual.

7.2 Disclaimer

The management team assumes no responsibility for any damages resulting from personal live broadcasts.

7.3 Official Live Broadcast

Some matches will be broadcast live by the management team. Participants must cooperate as much as possible with the live broadcast by the management team.

7.4 Mirroring

If mirroring is to be performed. Obtain permission from the management team.

8 Other Rules

8.1 Trouble

Any problems related to the tournament must be promptly reported to the management team.

8.2 Change of Terms

The Management Team may modify these Rules and Regulations as it deems necessary for the operation of the tournament.

8.3 Banned Player

If an entry of a banned player is discovered, he/she will be disqualified.

8.4 When rulings conflict

In the event of a conflict in handling between management staff members, the ruling of the tournament supervisor shall take precedence.

9 Prize

1 Prizes are as described on the Tonamel tournament page.
2 Prizes may be added according to circumstances.
3 Actual prizes will not be shipped outside Japan.
4 Prepaid cards here refer to Amazon Gift Certificates, Apple Gift, Google Play, or PayPay.
