SDGs(Sustainable Development Goals)

“Definition“

SDGs are the Sustainable Development Goals that the UN promised in 2015 so that all people living on the earth can lead happy lives.

Let's learn from you, your family, your friends, and your community about the SDGs so that this beautiful earth can last forever and that humans and other creatures on the earth can live happily ever after. You are already part of the Earth family.

PART1.What are SDGs?

The world is facing various problems. Poverty, hunger, discrimination, inequality, environmental destruction, etc.

By 2030, 193 UN member countries will work to create a society where everyone can work, learn and play an active role in good health, without fear of poverty or violence, regardless of age or gender. . Aim for 77 goals and 169 targets.

①Environmental protection activities: To protect the global environment.

②Social inclusion: Respect the human rights of each individual, including those in vulnerable positions.

③Economic growth: Produce wealth through economic growth.

From the UN...we are determined to create a better future for all. We can be the first generation to end poverty. We are the last generation to have a chance to save the planet at the same time. Can we make the world in 2030 a better future?

①If this situation continues, greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, and abnormal weather will continue unabated due to increased fossil fuel consumption along with population growth. Sea ice will disappear at the end of the 21st century, and the global environment will become more severe.

②More and more countries have an adequate food supply, but more food is being wasted without being eaten. On the other hand, many children suffer from poverty and hunger, and die from infectious diseases and unsanitary conditions.

③Economic growth numerically represents the abundance of wealth. However, in developing countries and countries with remarkable growth, serious situations such as sacrificing human rights, environmental destruction and pollution are occurring.

By specifically raising these problems, verifying them, and setting goals, we can create a foundation for building a sustainable society.

④Due to harsh child labor, there are many children in the world who cannot go to school and are forced to work for wages.

In underdeveloped countries such as Africa, the production prices of raw materials, etc. are hit by manufacturers in developed countries, and adult poverty is becoming even more severe. The impact on children is immeasurable.

⑤The global disparity problem is also serious. The disparity between the rich and poor, the gender gap, and the educational gap, etc., are partly influenced by cultural and historical backgrounds, but the problem of disparity is a problem that needs to be dealt with. A calculation using the formula for calculating economic disparity, the Parma ratio, shows that the disparity in salaries is the most conspicuous, with a figure of 1.76 in the United States. This is followed by the UK at 1.48 times, followed by Japan at 1.32 times. Large taxpayers pay a large amount of money to the government as taxes, but it is doubtful whether they are using it correctly…
