②設問では、焦点を当てた内容について「why」と聞いているので、焦点が当たっている部分の直前のFor this reason(それが理由で)の直前の内容の、「More and more hospitals offer such activities」が解答のベースになります。

③完璧な答えを作るにはここから2つのことをする必要があるのはもう馴染みですね。( ^^) はい、そうです。次のステップを踏んでください。1)More and more hospitalsを代名詞のtheyに代える。2)such activitiesをそのまえの文の「activities such as interacting with or observing pets」に代えて具体化。
