第66回グラミー賞2024、ソウル・サーチャーの予想発表

第66回グラミー賞2024、ソウル・サーチャーの予想発表

【66th 2024 Grammy Predictions List】

ノミネート。

全米音楽界最大のお祭り、グラミー賞第66回のノミネートがNARAS(全米レコード芸術科学協会=グラミー賞の主催者)より日本時間2023年11月11日夜11時すぎから発表された。

全94部門中52部門で予想した。主要4部門だけ本命・対抗・穴で、残りは本命と対抗をつけた。

発表は、2024年2月4日ロスアンジェルス時間夕方5時(日本時間5日10時)から。11部門程度が生中継で発表され、それ以外は、10時までにネットなどで発表される。

~~~~
今回のグラミーでの大きな変更点は、主要4部門が昨年一昨年と候補が10だったのに対し、2つ減り、8になったこと。また大まかにジャンルを分ける「フィールド(分野)」が11に減り、かなりまとめられたことなどがある。トータル部門数は94、昨年は91だった。
また、これまでジェネラル・フィールド(一般総合分野)は4部門だけだったが、今年から「プロデューサー・オブ・ジ・イヤー(ノンクラシカル)」、「ソング・オブ・ジ・イヤー(ノンクラシカル)」がこのジェネラル・フィールドに加えられ、同フィールド(分野)は4から6に増えた。
さらに、「アルバム・オブ・ジ・イヤー」部門で、これまでクレジットされてきたリード・アーティスト(当該アーティスト)、フィーチャード・アーティスト(ゲスト・アーティスト)、ソングライター、プロデューサー、エンジニア、ミキサー、マスタリング・エンジニアは、当該音源作品のトータル・プレイ時間の20%以上でプレイしていなければ、資格を得ないことになった。それまでは、名前がクレジットされていれば、すべてグラミーをもらえることになっていた。たとえば、かなりざっくりだが、10曲入りのアルバムの場合、フィーチャード・アーティストは2曲でフィーチャーされていないと、ノミネートの資格に足りないということになる。これまでは1曲でもフィーチャーされていたら、ノミネートの資格を得て、当該アルバムがグラミーを獲得すれば、自動的にそのアーティストも受賞者になっていた。おそらく、これは近年のアルバムが多くのフィーチャード・アーティスト、参加者がいるために、ちょっとだけでもかかわっていると、グラミーが取れてしまうという懸念に対する回答のようだ。
今回新たに設けられたのは、3 部門。Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording。
名称が変更された部門は2部門。Best Regional Mexican Music Album (including Tejano) が、 Best Música Mexicana Album (including Tejano).に、またBest Improvised Jazz Solo が Best Jazz Solo Performanceに名称が変更された。
発表は、2024年2月4日・日曜LA時間夕方5時(日本時間5日月曜午前10時)から、ロスアンジェルスのクリプト・ドット・コム・アリーナ(旧ステイプルズ・センター)で行われる。全米テレビではCBS、ストリーミングはパラマウント、日本では例年通り有料衛星放送ワウワウ(WOWOW)が生中継する。司会は4年連続、コメディアンのトレヴァー・ノア。
今回のグラミーの候補期間は2022年10月1日から2023年9月15日までに全米でリリースされた作品。例年の9月30日から2週間ほど締切が前倒しになっている。
今回の最大ノミネート・アーティストは、SZA(シザー)の9部門、これに次ぐのがフィービ・ブリッジス、サーバン・ジェネアー(ゲネア、ルーマニア語読みだとセルバン・ゲネア)、ヴィクトリア・モネイの7部門、さらに、ジャック・アントノフ、ジョン・バティースト、ボーイジニアス、ブランディ・クラーク、マイリー・サイラス、ビリー・アイリッシュ、オリヴィア・ロドリゴ、テイラー・スイフトの6部門。SZA、ジョン・バティースト、マイリー・サイラス、オリヴィア・ロドリゴ、テイラー・スイフトの計5人は、主要4部門のうち3部門「ソング・オブ・ジ・イヤー」「レコード・オブ・ジ・イヤー」「アルバム・オブ・ジ・イヤー」すべてでノミネートされている。候補がこの5人に集中している印象がある。
ひじょうに象徴的な現象として、主要4部門のひとつ「アルバム・オブ・ジ・イヤー」の候補8人(組)中7人(組)が女性で、男性はジョン・バティースト一人だけになった。「イヤー・オブ・ウーメン」(女性の年)になるか。
