R&Bシンガー、サイ・スミスが現在最新作『アンティル・ウィ・ミート・アゲイン』を出し、全米ツアーを行っているが、2024年7月18日、そのツアーのうち、7月31日リトルロックと8月2日ダラスの公演を自身が罹患している癌治療のためいったんキャンセルすると発表した。マネージメントが再度のブッキングを試みる。その後、9月1日にイギリス・ロンドンの「ジャズ・カフェ」でのライヴが予定されているが、これに関しては特に触れられていないので、現時点ではライヴを行う方向性のようだ。

Regarding my recent diagnosis
 
Since going public with my cancer diagnosis, I’ve gotten so much love, so many words of encouragement and I’ve been reminded that I am surrounded/protected by a community that cares deeply for me. I am so very grateful for all of this and for all of you.
 
 
 
Again… I am very sorry that I had to cancel my performances in Little Rock and Dallas. But I thank the management teams of both of those venues/events for their understanding and kindness as I navigate my upcoming treatment.
 
 
 
I’d like to remind you all to go get your regularly scheduled mammograms, colonoscopies and any other screenings that are on your docket. This is how doctors are able to detect anomalies early. This is how we can remain healthy!
