On the other hand, government surveillance is effective in preventing terrorism and crime. In recent years, drug dealing, terrorism, fraud, and robbery are conducted through social media platforms. Monitoring those communications to prevent these crimes should be accepted to ensure our safety and security. However, it is essential to have a legal framework and careful procedures, such as obtaining court approval.
