In this video I’ll be sharing with you the step-by-step guide on how to ensure your computer is Virus Free.
What is a Virus?
A computer virus is a type of malicious software also known as Malware that can have a detrimental effect on your computer.
It is a piece of code which replicates itself to modify corrupt or destroy programmes and data in your computer. So how do we prevent Virus from infecting your device?
Well, the simplest way is to install a trusted Anti-Virus Software on all your devices.
An Anti-Virus software needs an updated list of the newest viruses and other malware in order to be effective in protecting your system.
Without this the software may not be able to detect some viruses. The capabilities of different anti-virus software vary depending on how up-to-date the software is. It is also essential to keep web browsers, plug-ins, applications and operating systems up-to-date. Here are steps you should take to safely install an Anti-Virus Software on your computer.
First, search for the anti-virus software of your choice.
Tip #1:
Always search for a credible website to download the software. Be sure to download from an official and secure website.
Once the software has been successfully downloaded, open the software In the Home tab select a Quick scan or a Full scan and click Scan Now.
How to scan specific files for viruses? If you have specific drives that you would like to scan, follow the following steps:
•In the Home tab, select Custom
•Click Scan Now.
•Check the required drive and folders.
•Then, click OK.
