G7環境相会合、2035年の石炭火力廃止で合意。ロシア産ガスも削減。

ヨーロッパ経済ニュースEUROPE NNAは2024年05月01日に、G7(Group of 7/先進7カ国)は024年04月28～30日に開いた気候・エネルギー・環境相会合(G7 Climate, Energy and Environment Ministers' Meeting)で、2035年までに石炭火力発電を廃止することで合意したと報告した。石炭火力発電からの脱却は、2023年にアラブ首長国連邦(UAE)ドバイで開かれた国連気候変動枠組み条約第28回締約国会議(COP28)の成果文書にも盛り込まれたが、期限は示されていなかった。

イタリア北部トリノ(Turin)で行われた今回の会合では、共同声明に「排出抑制措置を施していない石炭火力発電を30年代前半に段階的に廃止する」と明記した。ただ、廃止時期については「各国のネットゼロ計画に即して、気温上昇率を摂氏1.5度以内に抑える目標に沿った時間軸とする」との文言もあり、一定の抜け道を設けた格好となる。

イギリスの気候変動シンクタンクE3Gによると、G7の中ではこれまで、日本だけが石炭火力発電全廃の期限や目標を示していなかった。

日本は発電量に占める石炭火力の比率が34%と、G7で最も高い。
E3Gは今回、G7が期限を打ち出したことは「日本にとって大きな一歩となる」と評価した。

また、G7ではドイツも発電量に占める石炭火力の比率が27%に上るが、ドイツは30年までに石炭火力を全廃する方針を打ち出している。

共同声明ではこのほか、ウクライナ支援のためにはロシア産エネルギーへの依存軽減が必要不可欠との認識が示され、ロシア産ガスの輸入削減に取り組む方針が明記された。
ただ、ロシア産の液化天然ガス(LNG)に対する制裁については合意がまとまらなかった。

日本は、石油もなく、ガスもなく、原発は爆発するし、本露に大丈夫か？
無理なら、G7を退会すべきだろう。

何の役もない。
ウクライナを世界の中心に置く団体にいていいのか？

ヨーロッパとは違う。
