八尾から始まる日曜日。

今日、E牧師に会いに3人で八尾の教会⛪️に行ったんだよ。E牧師はもちろん、周りの人の温かさにPapaは感動したんだ。E牧師夫妻は、PapaとMamaの結婚式にも来てくれたから、君を紹介することができて本当に良かった。そして、教会の人たちとも直接会えたことが、さらに素晴らしいと感じたよ。

Mamaは、本当に愛嬌があって社交的で、周りの人から好かれているなぁとPapaは思うよ。きっと君もその血を受け継いでいるんじゃないかな。君の笑顔を見ていると、そう確信するんだ。

教会を出た後、ふと思い立って、おじいちゃんのお姉さん（Kおばさん）に君の成長を見てもらおうと、豊中にある施設に立ち寄ったんだ。Kおばさんは本当に喜んでくれて、90歳とは思えないほどおしゃべりが上手で、頭の回転も早いんだよ。君も、Kおばさんに笑顔を見せていて、とても微笑ましかった。末永く君の成長を見守ってほしいと心から思ったよ。

その後、Mamaは手のひらが痛いということで、療養も兼ねて温泉に行ったんだ。Papaはその間、今日がエントリー締切日だったPapa主催のスポーツイベントの準備や地域活動に精を出していたよ。その間、君もぐっすり眠っていたね。

今日は目まぐるしい一日だったし、君も疲れたことだろうと思う。ゆっくり休んでね。

Papaは、ここ1、2週間、激動のように忙しい日々を過ごしているんだ。だけど、たとえ君と過ごす時間が少なくなったとしても、家に帰って君と一緒にいられるわずかな時間は、この上なく大切にしたいと思っているよ。

Dear  Son

A Sunday that started in Yao.

Today, Papa went to a church in Yao with Mama and you to meet Pastor E. Papa was deeply moved, not only by Pastor E but also by the warmth of everyone there. Pastor E and his wife attended Papa and Mama’s wedding, so Papa was so happy to introduce you to them. It was also wonderful to meet the people at the church.

Mama is truly cheerful and social, and Papa thinks everyone loves her. Papa feels that you’ve inherited those qualities from her. Every time Papa sees your smile, that thought grows even stronger.

After leaving the church, Papa decided to visit Grandpa’s older sister, Aunt K, to show her how much you’ve grown. We stopped by a facility in Toyonaka to see her. Aunt K was absolutely delighted to meet you. At 90 years old, she speaks so fluently and has such a quick mind. Papa hopes, from the bottom of his heart, that she can continue to watch you grow for many years to come. You even smiled at her, and it was such a sweet moment.

Later in the day, Mama went to a hot spring to rest her hand because it was hurting. While she was there, Papa focused on organizing a sports event Papa is hosting. Today was the registration deadline, so Papa worked hard on the event’s preparations and other community activities. During that time, you were sleeping soundly.

It was a busy day for everyone, and you must have been tired too. Rest well, my little one.

Papa has been incredibly busy these past couple of weeks. Even if the time Papa spends with you is shorter than Papa would like, those small moments Papa gets to be with you after coming home are the most precious of all. Papa treasures them more than anything.
