充実の日曜日

今日はね、
教会に行って、その後は選挙へ行き、知り合いの歯医者さんの開院祝いにも行ってきたよ。

そのオーナーさんが赤ちゃんの頃、君のおばあちゃんがその子のベビーシッターをしていたんだ。今、その子が大人になって歯科医院を開業するなんて、感慨深いよね。

Mamaは一日中、君を抱っこ紐で抱えながら過ごしてくれていたよ。

忙しい日ではあったけれど、充実した一日だった。

実は、朝にPapaは車を壁にぶつけてしまったんだ。バックミラーを見ていたんだけど、下にある塀が見えていなかった。本当に反省してる。

保険の手続きや色々な作業があったから、上記の予定に加えてとても慌ただしい一日になったよ。

夕方には、Mamaの腰の痛みがひどくなっていたから、近くの整体院に行ってみたんだ。とても腕が良くて、Mamaも気に入ったみたいだったよ。

家族で過ごす時間が増えて、君と一緒にいる時間もどんどん増えてきたね。君の成長が日に日に早くなっている気がするよ。

いつ君がハイハイするかな？楽しみだな。

Dear Son

A Fulfilling Sunday

Today, Papa went to church, followed by a visit to the polling station, and then attended a celebration for a friend who opened a dental clinic.

When the owner of the clinic was a baby, your grandma used to babysit them. And now, they’ve grown up to open their own dental practice—it’s really quite touching to see how things come full circle.

Mama carried you in a baby carrier all day long, taking care of you.

Though it was a busy day, it felt really fulfilling.

In the morning, though, Papa accidentally bumped the car into a wall. Even though Papa checked the mirrors, the low wall wasn’t visible. It was a big lesson for Papa, and he really reflected on it.

With the insurance paperwork and other things to handle, the day passed in a whirlwind.

In the evening, since Mama was having back pain, we went to a nearby chiropractic clinic. The chiropractor was excellent, and Mama seemed to like the treatment a lot.

Spending more time together as a family and being with you more every day really makes Papa feel like you’re growing so quickly.

Papa wonders—when will you start crawling? Papa can’t wait to see it.
