To those of you who want to start food delivery as a side job! first half( ˶'ᵕ'˶)

1. **Registering an Uber Eats Account**
First, start by registering with Uber Eats. This involves creating an account, registering necessary documents, and linking a bank account. If you are considering delivering by bicycle, you need to register a profile photo and an ID. For motorcycle delivery, additional documents such as a driver's license, proof of liability insurance, and license plate information are required (the necessary documents differ between mopeds and other vehicles). Personally, I delivered by bicycle and even purchased my bicycle on Mercari to suit delivery needs. I'll also mention later that there are bicycles more suitable for delivery, and I'll introduce those as well.

2. **From Registration to First Delivery**
Once your account is ready, it’s time to prepare for delivery. You might have seen what we call the "Uber bag" – a large backpack used by Uber delivery personnel. I opened my account during the COVID-19 pandemic and bought the bag online, but before the pandemic, bags were distributed during orientation sessions that also served as training. Attending these sessions seemed challenging, so it was convenient for me. You don't necessarily have to buy an official Uber Eats bag; you can decide on your own. I bought a similar bag from Amazon or Rakuten and used it for deliveries. When choosing a bag, consider one that can carry a lot, as the delivery volume is important. It's also recommended to use a bag that won’t spill the contents, especially for deliveries involving soup dishes, so bags with good internal stability or compartments are advisable. If the bag isn’t sturdy, it can lead to the contents getting disordered during delivery or the bag getting dirty. Once your bag and bicycle are ready, return to the app and take the traffic rules test. Of course, since accidents can happen, it’s recommended to understand and follow the rules carefully when using Uber.

Reflecting on it, there were quite a few steps needed before starting to deliver. Originally, I thought I could cover this in one article, but it turned out to be quite voluminous, so I'll introduce the rest in a later part.
