Weekly question #41 What's your goal for speaking English?

Thank you so much for coming to daisy's note. I really appreciate your likes, follows, and every action you take for my note.

This is my article about weekly question from 英語手帳 2024. The theme in September is "Master fluent speaking" （流暢な話し方をマスターする）.




Weekly question: What's your goal for speaking English?

My goal for speaking English is to communicate with others whether they are native English speakers or not. Moreover, I always would like to be careful to have consideration in order to communicate with them.

Though I feel more confident to speak in English than before, it's still difficult for me to express my feelings and opinions as I do in Japanese. In fact, I even think that I can't express my true thoughts in Japanese either.

So, I would like to continue writing here in English and Japanese. To improve writing skills will also help me to express better when speaking English.

What is your goal for speaking English?

Hoping that my note will give you some kind of inspiration to rethink your goal for studying English.

英会話をする上での目標は？

英会話での目標は、英語ネイティブ話者に限らず、色々な方と話せることです。英語を使って話すにしても、相手に思いやりを持って、話せることを大切にしています。

以前に比べて、英語で話すこともある程度、自信を持って話せるようになりました。でも、やっぱり、母国語の日本語とは違うので、上手く伝えられないもどかしさは、常にあります。日本語ですら、自分の想いを伝えられないこともあるくらいです。

noteで、英語と日本語の両方で、書いていきたいと改めて感じています。私は、書く力をつけることで、話す表現力も上げられると考えています。

そう思ってるのに、なかなか実行できてませんでしたね(笑)

英会話をする上での目標も人それぞれですが、あなたはどうですか？

学習し続ける上でも、改めて考えるきっかけになれば、幸いです。
