Shopify Idea and Marketing Mix

I talked to Hirotaka. He suggests I should use Shopify or Merukari to sell chocolate. For me, Merukari damages chocolate brands so it shouldn't, in the first place, be a place to sell. Shopify is left and seems nice because, I don't know to be honest. Perhaps because it's a trendy e-commerce platform. I should compare it with other such platforms that are base or so on.

Things to do

Place

1. Look into other e-commerce platforms available in Japan. Selling foods has to be allowed.

2. Select the most suitable one in terms of design, commission fee, customizability by coding, etc. I guess Shopify still wins though.

3. Learn key concepts of the platform. Watch how to videos.

Flow

1. set an order of importance

2. Draw up a schedule

3. Depends on the schedule

Product

1. How many types of chocolate do I sell at first? 6 types in total from three brands, So two types each brand. Six products are there. Or still six products in total and then three products from two brands. So three products from each brand.

2. Select two manufacturers to contact, one is in Hungary and another one in Germany. Make sure in the brands there are a range of cacao %, like from 40 to 80, from milk to dark.

3. Now you have what you want to sell. Next question is coming.

3.  How many bars do I have in stock initially? 30 bars each product so it's 180 bars in total?

Carriage

1. Check the most reasonable way to ship to Japan. In terms of temperature, safety, cost, and speed. Compare ways.

2. Do I ask makers to send boxes to Japan? They might say just buy it at stores. Then I ask stores to have an enough amount of stock. I will buy it then send it to Japan.

3. Who receives?

Pack and post within Japan

1. Put a label on each bar

2. Make boxes according to order

3. Post them

Permission

1. Ask chocolate companies if I can export and sell their products in Japan.
