マツダRX-7 FD3Sとは

前回の投稿でマツダ アンフィニ RX-7 FD3Sと紹介しましたがアンフィニの名称がつくのは3型までのモデルです。今でいうTOYOTAのレクサスブランドのような高級車を販売するチャンネルがマツダにもありました。それがアンフィニです。

RX-7は1型から6型まであり1991年~2002年まで製造され様々なグレードがあります。

特に1型いわゆる初期型はフレームが肉厚でサーキットのタイムアタックなどで今なお現行車と互角かそれ以上のポテンシャルで活躍しています。ただし徹底的に改造しているものに限ります。

まず1型から3型の見分け方ですが主にフロントバンパーやテールランプに注目すると分かりやすいです。

In my last post, I introduced the Mazda Anfini RX-7 FD3S, but the Anfini name was only applied to models up to the Model 3. Mazda had a channel to sell luxury cars like TOYOTA's Lexus brand does today. The RX-7 was manufactured from 1991 to 2002 in various grades, from the first to the sixth model. Especially, the early type 1 has a thicker frame and is still used in circuit time attacks with equal or even better potential than the current cars. However, only those that have been thoroughly modified can be used. First of all, it is easy to distinguish between Type 1 and Type 3 by looking at the front bumper and tail lamps.

このバンパーが1型から3型の特徴になります。こちらの車両についているリアスポイラーは1型のみ設定されています。

This bumper is a feature of Type 1 to Type 3. The rear spoiler on this vehicle is only available on the Type 1.

次にテールランプですが1~3はいちもんじなのが特徴的です。このマークがアンフィニです。その非凡さがアンフィニというキャッチコピーでした。

次回は外装だけを見て判断できる4型から6型までの特徴を記入したいと思います。
