CRAZYTANK News vol.226

After a series of unseasonably warm weather and typhoons, Tokyo has finally experienced the cold weather that is typical of the season since the beginning of the week.

It is expected to get colder this week, so please stay warm.

Now, in this week's newsletter...

Recently, we have been hearing daily news about early retirement offers. There is no doubt that the surplus of human resources will become more pronounced with the evolution of AI. In this week's newsletter, we would like to examine what happens in the process from “surplus of human resources” to “no longer needing human resources” with a higher resolution.

Please take a moment to read it.

We are moving toward an era in which we need a certain amount of manpower, but we do not need human resources.

News of early retirements and restructuring has been frequently in the news.
What particularly surprised the public was the news of Nissan's announcement of a restructuring of 9,000 employees.

news title : The hell of Nissan's restructuring of 9,000 employees...Even with profits down 94%, the president gets 300 million yen in compensation, a super absurdity.

We have written in this communication before about a future in which employment will be drastically reduced.

Currently, data released by mid-career recruiting firms shows that the number of job openings is increasing every year, and the number of people deciding to change jobs is also increasing.

CRAZYTANK calmly predicts a future in which “human resources will become unnecessary” (if nothing is done) along with the evolution of generative AI, so we are uncomfortable with the current heated job market.

However, the recent news of early retirements and restructurings make us feel that we are gradually approaching a future in which we will no longer need human resources.

We are often asked, “What is the state of affairs when human resources are no longer needed?” We are asked.

Below are some of the materials that CRAZYTANK has prepared and uses in discussions with our clients.

In the future, business organizations supported by human resources will be gradually replaced by AI for each type of work.

It is said that the evolution of AI will advance exponentially, and it is even possible that it will come suddenly.

The overflow of human resources will, of course, be looking for a new job, but this “overflow” will happen at the same time in almost every company and every industry.

Therefore, while there may be a phase during the progression process where you may decide to change jobs and find a work opportunity, it is expected that the position will eventually be eliminated almost completely.

Once here, let's get the point straight that [manpower] and [human resources] are different.

Human “resources” will be replaced by AI.

This is because jobs that use qualified skills, clerical abilities, thinking, etc., will almost always be “brain replacements” at the time of the development of AI's evolutionary system, AGI, which has human intelligence.

However, a certain amount of “manpower” will be needed until AI and robots take root.

This is because AI and robots will be slow to enter fields where it is said that employing human (“power”) labor is cheaper than the price of AI and robots, or where they are said to be unprofitable.

Furthermore, in the process of AI and robots replacing human (“resources” ) work, there will be a situation in which the work is moved and managed by the instructions and management of human (“resources” ? “power” ?).

However, here, the situations in which people can demonstrate their job skills, which have been required “as human resources,” and the feeling and sense of touch in the execution of work will clearly decrease, and people will realize that they are now “working as human resources rather than as manpower.

In the course of a future like this, we predict,
A social movement to “protect the human workforce.”

You can read more about it in this article.

the article title is, ”From CSR Activities for Environmental Issues to the Era of Investment in CSR Activities for “Human Issues”.”

We at CRAZYTANK do not want to create a social movement.

In a future where human resources will no longer be needed, we are working to continue planting seeds of hope for the future by taking advantage of the situation, viewing it rather as a “blue ocean,” and proposing to each client company an investment-like move to keep business development in perspective.

By doing so, our goal is to create a “human way of working” and “things that are valuable only because they are human,” which are distinctly different from AI and robots.

It is scary for anyone to see a future in which human resources are no longer needed. However, because we can see the future straight ahead, we believe that we can take concrete actions from now on.
